well, since ww is gone you might go directly to the axle manufacturer and make your demands!

RE: WW FS2300 Wheel Bearing Failure

I had a similar failure on my '06 fs2300 back in march of '07. Trailer had 1500 miles on it. It happend just after the 2 year mark, giant rv service guy got me a replacement axle from dexter i think - because the spindle thing was damaged. Our thinking was that a seal had failed. So, I did the swap myself, 4 bolts and a couple of electrical connections and I was back in business. Oh.... plus the damn tow cost. We drove the truck and trailer onto a low bed and took it home!

RE: New Fuel Sta - 5 gals in / 1/2 gal out

Ha ha ha........ yep, like a newly elected politician who works extremely efficiently and gets alot done initially...... but then starts sucking air at the end of his run as a lame duck!

RE: New Fuel Sta - 5 gals in / 1/2 gal out

OK, the pump tests fine. I pumped 5 gallons from one jug to another in just a minute or two, very high volume pump. I believe that may explain this whole situation. The original problem seemed to be that when I put 5 gallons in the empty 40 gallon tank and tested the pump, it pumped fine for a short while - but the flow became just a trickle in a short time, so I figured it was done pumping. But, since taking things apart and testing, I have discovered that the angled pickup tube - at 1/4" off the bottom of the tank, combined with a high flow pump..... is causing the pump to suck air along with the fuel and therefore the trickle. So, you guys were right.... "put more fuel in the tank"! OK. That's more than you or I ever needed to know about my fuel station. So, now on to the next topic!

RE: bumper pull w/ Slides

An axle flip on any 5er can be done for less than $500 at most local RV service shops.

RE: WW Fuel Gauge

I dont know about those float thingies...... The one in my polaris ranger i think got saturated and doesn't float so well any more. It's on a twisted rod and is supposed to spins the guage needle - great concept, but apparently doesn't hold up very long.

RE: WW Fuel Gauge

Pump your fuel sta dry, go to gas sta, pump 5 gals, put a mark on the guage glass with touch up paint or sharpie, pump 5 gals, place mark etc. Then you got it!

RE: New Fuel Sta - 5 gals in / 1/2 gal out

I pulled the tank, the plastic fill tube was in good shape, no cracks. Now I'm going to test the pump directly. We'll see.........

RE: New Fuel Sta - 5 gals in / 1/2 gal out

Didn't find "pump screen" as directed. I added another 5 gallons and the pump sta pumped out about 2.5 - 3 gallons. So, it appears that the pickup is too high or cracked somewhere as now I have 7 gallons unusable in the tank. Tank manufacture suspects a crack in the pick up tube and is sending a new one........ after paying them for a new one! Whatever, only $16. So, now I'll get to drop the tank and install it myself! Yea, I LOVE my RV!

RE: Heads up- Get your Class A non-commercial

RE: Selling Weekend Warrior

I'm surprised you don't find any comparisons online, there should be a ton, keep looking. You might use craiglist to find similar units' asking price. Craigshelper.com will let you move around craigslist faster. I just sold a WW using traderonline. If you sign up with them, select the "in print" option too.... my buyer found the ad in print (last ad last page). And when I sold I took the ad offline, but kept getting calls on the print ad until it expired. I don't think the NADA values are going to help you in anyway. They are just going to make you feel bad when you see their values in relation to what trailers are selling for. I think in my case the NADA was $43k - I sold for $28k.

RE: New Fuel Sta - 5 gals in / 1/2 gal out

Thanks for the ideas. I talked to a guy at the tank manufacturer......... he is checking with "engineering", 'will get back. He stated the pick up tube is a plastic piece on my tank.

New Fuel Sta - 5 gals in / 1/2 gal out

ECI Fuel Systems 40 gal tank manufactured 4/08, has outlet on top - looks like 1/2 or 5/8" hose into GPI pump. Pump seems to run fine, you can even feel air coming out of the nozzle... and after some time you can hear the tank contract from having it's air removed. The tank has a vapor recovery system including a vent hose that you can hear air entering after running the pump for a while. I suppose the tank has to be dropped to have access to fuel pickup, but I was hoping someone would have an idea for me to check out before dropping the tank. Thanks.

RE: Stereo mods in a 08 WW SLC

Oh, 'sounds like new cabling. I bet someone with first hand knowledge of how the trailer is assembled would be best so that nothing is torn up while running new lines. There are some guys from WW that started their own parts and service business in Perris. You could try Jim Goodwin 951 294-1907. It's called warrior lifestyles gear.
